This is all 16 hours of training required for Illinois Concealed Carry Training.

At Guns-N-Such, we're committed to providing top-notch firearm training, and we're thrilled to introduce our comprehensive two-part training program designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and responsible attitude for concealed carry.

Instead of just doing a 16 hour course, we prefer to offer a 2 part training program. The Illinois CCL is accepted by many states but there are a lot of them missing. One of the many benefits of doing the 2 separate parts is that NRA Basic Pistol is the training required to get a Florida or Arizona CCL permit that will allow you to carry in more of the states that the IL CCL does not cover.

Includes range qualifications. You will need eye and ear protection and Ammunition and you will need a handgun. If you do not have one or more of those things we can help, talk to the instructor. We can provide a loaner gun and help you purchase the correct ammunition, eye protection, and ear protection.

Course 1: NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course Unlock the fundamentals of safe and effective pistol shooting with our NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course. This 8-hour program includes classroom and range time, covering essential topics such as:

• Safe Gun Handling: Learn and practice the fundamental rules of safe firearm handling to instill a culture of safety from the very beginning.
• Pistol Parts and Operation: Gain a deep understanding of the components of a pistol, how they function, and their role in the overall operation of the firearm.
• Ammunition: Explore different types of ammunition, their characteristics, and how to select the appropriate ammunition for your pistol.
• Shooting Fundamentals: Master the fundamental principles of accurate shooting, including proper stance, grip, sight alignment, and trigger control.
• Range Rules: Familiarize yourself with essential range rules and etiquette to ensure a safe and respectful shooting environment.
• Shooting Positions: Practice various shooting positions to enhance your comfort and accuracy while shooting.
• Cleaning the Pistol: Learn the importance of regular firearm maintenance and how to properly clean your pistol.
• Skill Development: Engage in continuous opportunities for skill development, reinforcing what you've learned in the classroom on the live-fire range.

Upon completion, you'll receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, undergo a Basics of Pistol Shooting Exam, and earn a course completion certificate.

Course 2: 8hr Guns-N-Such CCL Course Building on the foundational skills acquired in Part 1, our 8-hour Concealed Carry License (CCL) Course delves into Illinois' firearm laws. This comprehensive program includes:

• Basics of CCL in Illinois
• Where you can't carry
• Use of Force
• IL Firearms Laws
• Steps necessary for responsible concealed carry
• How to stay up to date with the laws
• Guidance on applying for your Illinois Concealed Carry License

These Courses must be taken in order.

No FOID card is required for either course, but will be required to apply for your Illinois Concealed Carry License. If you would like help applying for your FOID card, talk to the instructor.
