The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course is designed to provide participants with a solid foundation in pistol handling and marksmanship. This comprehensive program combines classroom instruction and hands-on range time to ensure participants are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary for safe and responsible pistol ownership.
This course is a minimum of 8 hours, encompassing both classroom and range components. Our experienced NRA-certified instructors will guide participants through every aspect of the learning process, ensuring a thorough and engaging experience.
Participants will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, providing a comprehensive resource for continued learning.
The course includes a written Basics of Pistol Shooting Exam, and a Shooting Range practical evaluation allowing participants to gauge their understanding and proficiency.
No prior firearm experience is necessary for this course. No FOID card is required for this Course. If you would like help applying for your FOID card, talk to the instructor.
What to Bring:
If you need ammo or eyes and ears let us know and we will have some available for purchase.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a course completion certificate from the National Rifle Association.
